2 systems were used for this competition based on the events, ‘Cup’ and ‘Championship’. This means that comparing an event which uses the other system is not possible.
Cup System
3 judges must be used
Cup scales and performance examples used as reference for all judges.
Place points used for final ranking
Solo, 2-baton, 3-baton, European Freestyle Solo, All Freestyle Pair, European Freestyle Team, Artistic Group
Championship System
Minimum 3 judges used, but if more than 3 used, the highest and lowest scores are disregarded
Championship scales and performance examples used as reference for all judges which are more demanding that cup scales
Judges average score used for final ranking
World Freestyle (Freestyle solo makes up 75% of the score, with Short Programme making up 25% of the score), World Freestyle Team.
Tie-Breaking
If there is a tie for a qualifing place, the place is offered to the athlete who the majority of judges awarded the qualifying place.
